Beagles are active, friendly dogs that will get along with anyone in the household. They have been known to be friendly with cats, though this is not always the case.
Beagles need exercise to avoid gaining weight, and they’ll often get it by chasing the cat around outside. If you have a cat that’s willing to join in this game, everything should go fine.
They’re also a small breed and not naturally aggressive. If you find one that does get along with cats, it won’t bother the cat for any reason other than playfulness.

With so many breeds of dogs out there, it’s impossible not to find one that gets along with cats. There are quite a few cat friendly dog breeds that can make great companions for both felines and humans.
That being said, there are certain rules you need to follow. Always supervise any first meeting between a dog and cat. That way, you can make sure if the match is going to work out.
