Spanking the kitty video. I was looking at funny cat videos on the You Tube and came across one that was very weird. Even weirder is that there are a bunch of these cat spank type clips. In this one the guy had his cat jump on his lap and started spanking his cat. The cat loved it! I thought, Okay I will try it on my Andy. Guess what, he loves it too. He about loses his mind when I do it and I don’t know why. Just to let you know, he is never hit hard. I have never heard of this, anyone know why cats like this spanking the kitty game?Answer: It certainly is a good question and I don’t think anyone knows why they like this for sure. Just like people do things that make them feel good even though it’s counter productive, cats can do the same. Just because they like it doesn’t mean that you should automatically do it. I’m not a big fan of the spank the kitty thing, since my Vet said it’s probably a sexual thing? My cats have a enough bad habits on their own, so I will not add another to the list.Update: This post sparked a vigorous debate with lots of interesting opinions below. I thank everyone for taking the time to comment and invite others to offer there opinion. With so many spank the cat videos found on the internet, I suspect this debate will roll on for a while. Great practice by: Spud I was taught this by a friend in all my many years of having cats never heard of it. It dosen’t hurt the cat. It in my opinion strengths the relationship.

My Cats Love This. Also, a yard stick, again just tapping. Then they roll on the floor playing and chewing on the yard stick. they like belly rubs with the yard stick as well. No Hitting. Cats are such interesting little fur balls.

Seriously people, not everything is sexual by: Mitch A female or male cat with their back arched convex and tail straight up isn’t sexual in any way. A functional female cat in estrous will arch their back concave and their tail will curve around sideways, this is called a lordosis posture or lordosis presentation. If you have a functional female and she is in estrous she will likely assume this posture every time you pet her. If you pet, scratch, or slap your cat and they stick their hindquarters up and arch their back convex you simply hit a spot the cat likes.Amazing how little some of your veterinarians know about animal behavior, I’m not a trained vet at all, nor an animal behaviorist, but I can recognize basic animal behavior after nearly 40 years on a farm breeding animals.

Itch scratch, or spanking by: Tony Almost ALL of my cats have loved this. The youngest bites my feet playfully and yelps if I stop. She’ll keep me doing it until she suddenly purrs, and off she goes. The male (5 years older) saw this, decided if she liked it, he’d try it and meows in the same yelping way if I stop. They like rhythmic drum patterns. It helps that I’m a percussionist. No idea if it’s sexual or not, but they love it. Works on some dogs too. My theory is that as they cannot scratch themselves there, the ‘spanking’ relieves the nerves, just like us having an itch that we cannot reach, being scratched for us, if we are so lucky.

It may look “erotic” to some, but it could be a form of relaxation and or stimulus like cat nip, or a good book, nature walk, having our hair comed or brushed. Nothing sexual. That’s not to say though, if a cat is not spayed or neutered that it may turn them on. My pixie was in heat and it made it worse if you even pet her back. She’s since been spayed, and enjoys it some. My old fat peaches is in pain constantly and loves the heating pad to lay on. Patting her like this helps her to relax and you can see the relief on her face.

I’d take pity on him right away and do it gently, and he’d start purring and rolling over for it and clawing the carpet like he was in ecstasy. I guess it’s just a stimulating thing. Not everything stimulating is sexual, for you weirdos in the comments. Pain releases chemicals that make you feel pleasure to counteract it, so mild pain is pleasurable without the drawbacks.

It will never cease to amaze me where the minds of the people have gone lmao, veterinarians are only veterinarians they aren’t behavioral specialists for cats LMAO. I’ve spoke with animal trainers on this topic and its more than likely connected to being sub servant to their masters. Look at the big cats & how they take/obey commands willingly at the tap of the trainers little stick. It’s pretty safe to say your cat isn’t hoping for some sexual gratification from a human being (SICK PEOPLE), in fact animals are generally more “morally” on Que than most human beings these days. The only thing I would suggest is if your cats little pink pee pee comes popping out then I would probably stop whatever it is your doing that’s getting your cat hopped up.

my kitty loves the spankin by: Anonymous my cat is very old and fat. she’s never liked to be rubbed or loved on..not until her old age. but she has always loved to be patted on her bum. she’ll arch her back just begging for more (ha this sounds so wrong doesn’t it?). she also likes her back to be scratched and patted as well. I can’t believe I found that other cats enjoy this too! we always just thought she was a kinky crazy little kitty.

Bum Spankie by: Mario My Calico, Minou as well as most of the cats that came before her all loved to have bum spankie. I discovered it years ago with one of my cats while doing rubbins. I sort of tapped lightly on her touche in front of her stiff tail with a whimsical ‘naught kitty’ comment of endearment and she got righ in to it. Minou is very affectionate and is less than bashful about waking up from a snooze and steam rolling at me no matter where I am and settling into my cupped arm accross my tummy for rubbins. She will even dash on to the bed in the middle of the night when I get up to go potty and come back to bed. In a flash she is snuggles in to my arm full-tilt doing paw paws on my arm and purring her head off untill she has had enough and then she jumps down and sneaks off to a favorite corner for another snooze. I have learned that this spank bummie might have a possible sexual overtone because when she wants rubbies her tail is always ram rod straight in the air and if I run my hand up it as I stroke her back she loves it no end. The same with bum spankie. I keep it to a minimum otherwise I get nothing else done all day. They seem to know very well what makes them happy.
