Hi, this is my first kitty. His Name is Jinkser and he is a long haired Siamese, very handsome. We love him to pieces, and he seems to love us back. I used to be highly allergic to cats and was always a dog lover. But Jinx ran away with my heart. I would like to understand him and cats in general better. He does this thing where he buries his nose usually in my forearm and then sticks his rear end in the air when I am petting him. he also gives me looks at times that seem a bit aggressive and then he shoots over to knead and purr in my lap. I am wondering if he feels ill at ease or if I am over analyzing Mr. Jinx. Also, he gets to purring on my lap, but it sounds a bit like a growl. Finally, why does he at times follow my hand when I am trying to pet him? Does he not trust me? Thanks to all! Thanks Terra for your submission and the pictures as well. My family also thanks you for rescuing Jinkster Kitty from that hording situation. I personally love the Siamese cat breed. Some would say that there behavior is as unique as their appearance. Although some of the things you mention are typical cat things. My cat Thomas pushes his head and nose into my arm pit and it tickles. But I tolerate it because he seems to use it as a bonding gesture (wouldn’t want to insult him 🙂 The thing with the hand movement is also common. Cats have decent eye site but are really sensitive to movement. They might not see a small bug for example until it starts to move. We have had cats with this issue and it seems to disappear with time as kitty gets use to and catalogs your movements into the feline brain. They love routine and once they know what to expect the relationship can move forward. (Just my opinion) Maybe others who stop by will add there thoughts also! Good luck with Jinx~ Mark
