My cats a dog
My cat exhibits all kinds of behavior more associated with dogs. She (Simba) fetches and retrieves sticks. She likes having her belly rubbed and follows you around like a dog. She understands and reacts to verbal commands, chases people and dogs down the street and eats all sorts of things that cats shouldn’t. An example would be poppadoms, dried soy beans, popcorn among other dog and human foods. She is hilarious but unlike any cat I’ve had before!

same story! by: Anonymous That is so crazy! when i was a little girl i had a cat i named Shadow. He was black and followed me around all the time! so id always call him my dog. he loved his belly scratched, chased people around the yard (strangers out of it, he especially loved kids on Halloween). When i brushed him he drooled. he followed commands, sat when i told him to and loved to play fetch! he gave great hugs around my neck and would let me carry him everywhere. His favorite foods were popcorn as number one, and next, cucumber pieces. he had an accident though 3 years later and died from a bird he ate! your story was so similar i just had to comment!-RIP Shadow 🙂

Dito by: Anonymous Hi, just like the others my cat also does these things. Her name is Luna she is also all black with yellow green eyes. Shes very vocal as i call it because shes always meowing as if she was talking to you. She also scratches at her bowl of water which is annoying because if i don’t watch her she’ll tip it in the process.she prefers to drink from the bathroom tap anyway.

Cat-Dog by: bex Hey, My cat also fetches, loves having his belly rubbed and follows me around and will eat all most anything. He is called Mr. Fang and also looks the image of your cat; he?s all black with green/ yellow eyes!!! From my understanding this type of coloring is typical of feral breads of cats. Mr. Fang was feral on a farm until I bought him home as a kitten! It would be interesting to know if all these traits are instinctual to a feral breed. I always thought Mr. Fang behaves the way he does because where ever we have lived there has been dogs around, but now I have read this post it has made me wonder.

My Fetch Cat by: Anonymous My female is part Burmese and she loves to play fetch. She also jumps like a terrier. She’s very talkative and smart, when she hears the words “ready” she comes running and on the 3 count her toy gets thrown. Once I realized that I always faked the first two I started counting out loud. When she gets told off she has a little something to say about that too.

Simba by: Anonymous My cat is also called Simba, he is a ginger tabby boy…also chases balls, and acts like a dog. If I call him he comes runnin..Walks beside me as well!

My Cat Acts Like a Dog by: Jon My Sister’s Siamese cat Tommy acts like a dog all the time. He eats dog food, sleeps like a dog, wants you to rub his belly all the time, and he goes through the doggy door. He fetches sticks, and chases balls! He even tries to catch a Frisbee!

My cat’s a dog too! by: Brandy in MD Hey! When I saw the link entitled “my cat’s a dog,” I absolutely had to click on it. My cat is the exact same way – loves to fetch, have it’s belly rubbed, and would rather eat popcorn than fish! And my cat is also named Simba (from the Lion King), but he is a boy. What really floored me was when I opened the link and saw the picture of your cat. My Simba is also all black, with yellow-green eyes! Crazy world!

Your cats a dog by: Claire Hello Kathryn: Cute little story about your dog cat. I also love the name simba. Is that from the lion king? I seem to remember an old cartoon about a white lion cub and I think his name was simba as well. My cat Daxter only does one thing on the list of things your cat does. This is the popcorn eating thing. Man does dax love popcorn!
