Cat attack mode
My cat is very special he loves to be picked up, cuddled, kissed and loves the attention. He never gets into anything around the house, even from day one when I bought him! Perfect cat most people might think but has this one very strange behavior. When I am on the cell phone at home my cat turns evil. He bits me enough to draw blood and when I try and push him away, it seems like he gets stronger. If he has my arm and I wave my arm to get him off, he hangs right on without letting go. When my cat attacks he turns into a wild animal and nobody seems to know why. This is the ONLY time he acts this way, ONLY when I am on the cell phone. Any ideas on this weird cat behavior?

Cat cell phone aggression by: Anonymous I just had my cat to the vet last night and asked him about this phenomenon. He said he had never heard of that. If I am on my cell phone, especially a video on Face Book, he will get this glint in his eye and try to bite me. He literally chases me around the room making this unusual angry meowing noise, not hissing, and will keep coming. I have to literally leave the room he’s in and shut the door. If I go back in in a little bit, sans the phone, he is perfectly fine. He is sweet and adorable ALL THE REST OF THE TIME! I think they can hear a frequency or a vibration or something from the phone and it makes them momentarily insane or something. Vet gave me pamphlets on kitty aggression, but none fits the bill. More studies on this need to be done!

Cat Attacks my Feet at Night by: Anonymous I have a 5 year old short haired tortoise shell cat named Camber. She belonged to a bodega in the neighborhood and I’ve taken care of her since she was a baby kitty. We are very close and have a perfectly balanced relationship.Anyway, I have since taken her into my home, trying to make it as loving and comfortable for her as possible. Camber likes to cuddle with me, and when I go to bed at night, she jumps on the bed and kneads all over until she will finally curl up next to me.Here’s the problem, I have circulation issues in my legs, and I can’t keep them still for too long, so I constantly wiggle my feet and toes during the night. When Camber hears this, and sees My toes moving under the covers, her hunting instinct kicks in and she’ll attack my feet.I have scratches all over my legs and feet. I love when she sleeps with me, however, the foot attacks are driving me crazy and preventing a good night sleep. I don’t know what to do. right now I’m wearing many pairs of socks to bed, but I don’t think this will work in the summer months.

cell phone frequency by: Anonymous I have read that the frequency of some cell phones can hurt the cats ears. It’s a newer issue that has come to light since cell phones have become more of a common device.

cat attacks owner by: Anonymous I am having cat attacks also from my normally calm kitty. He lunges at my legs in a vicious way and draws blood….he is de-clawed but bites with his teeth, scares me as I never know when he will attack. I hit him with a newspaper but am curious as to why this happens.

same here by: Anonymous Cat hates the noise coming from it. He’s actually been known to attack it and turn off the ringer or alarm. If I’m holding it while it is going off he starts pouncing on me, biting at me and trying to “kill” the phone.

Cat cell phone attack by: Anonymous I thought I was alone! My normally sweet kitty also turns evil and sometimes attacks me when I’m on the cell phone. Anyone have any updates as to why this happens?

Same Reaction to Phone by: Anonymous I have a 2 yr old neutered orange tabby who is so sweet but in past 4-5 months has been suddenly attacking me. He bites my hand first then actually goes for the throat. I finally have figured out he only does it when I am talking on cell phone! Thought I was nuts until I saw this posting. Will use phone with door shut from now on.

I actually have to leave the room she is in and shut the door. once I leave her for a bit and off phone she is back to her easy going self. I am boggled and would love to hear an answer.

Cancer from mobile phones? by: Laura Maybe your cat senses the mobile radiation as danger and that explains his bad reaction to it?
