cat kneading blanket
Blanket kneading cat, clicking at birds, and walking on tip-toes. My cat does several strange things. She has two blankets which she loves to knead and falls into a deep purring trance as she kneads them. I don’t know why she has picked these two but they seem to relax her. She also gets so excited watching the birds out the window, she clicks at them. It’s not a meow but almost as if she is so excited that is the only sound she can make. I wonder if she is communicating with them.Lastly, she has a spot on the wood floor where she arches her back with hair standing on end and walks sideways on her tip-toes. Cat kneading blanket video
She only does it a few times a week and we never know why or when it’s going to happen. Maybe that’s where the name Scared Cat came from!

Kneading is left over from being a kitten. by: Nancy Out of all our (6)cats, only one kneads a blanket and actually suck on it. I found out that it is a leftover from when she was a kitten. Kittens knead their mother, as they suckle, because kneading actually produces more milk flow. Why some cats will do this and other don’t, is a mystery to me. No doubt it’s for comfort.
