weird shower habits

by ash and nath
(australia)

Our 6 month old kitten Mr Bunta worries about us. If either one of us goes to have a shower he meows and scratches at the glass while staring at you the whole time.He keeps it up until you get out of the shower and then he rubs his tail against your leg like he has not seen you in a billion years.
He also likes water and quite often if you open the shower door he will put his paws and stick his head into the over spray. weird... we assumed cats hated water.

They are cat weirdos
by: Anonymous

My kitten and oldest cat do something similar. If I close the bathroom door, the little one will sit out there and cry till I let her in. They both do the rubbing around on my legs thing after I am out. I think the 1st part is that they miss seeing me (egotistical sounding but i think its true haha) and then I think they like how warm I am when I get out. If I hold them when I am out and in a robe, they will do the kneading thing on my arm and rub all over.

Cat showers he likes it!
by: Anonymous

occasionally cats like water so much they literally beg for it. i had a Bengal once who would take baths with me. as long as he didn't get any water in his face he would "splish-splash" with me all day. he hated showers, though. i had another cat who would sit on the edge of the tub and soak her tail in the water. did you think that maybe he likes it? maybe you should let him in with you so he can get nice and clean, too!

My cats did that when they were young
by: Anonymous

In my case I assumed they were expressing their concerns about me, as I was obviously in great mortal danger standing under spraying water (to their mind anyway).

After a while they got used to it, and have never had any desire to get in with me.
