Praying cat

Our cat, Blue, is weird! He often sits back on his hind legs then paws the air like he is worshiping an invisible something! Has anyone had their cats do this strange activity?

Or do you have any thoughts on what this could possibly mean in the cats world? Any input on the subject or if your cat does the same thing let me know.
