It sounds to me like your cat is returning to the roots from wich it came, but in a smaller version, and cute too.

I love little cats with big attitudes. Our cat that is the runt of the litter over compensates for his size with a giant size dose of self confidence.
He runs towards noises while our other cats run to hide. Nea (our cat) Attacks the vacumm cleaner, dishwasher and other noisy appliances. He is very brave. We keep him inside so he doesn't get hurt!
