My ragdoll is half goat

Madge (my ragdoll cat) will chew on tv cables, computer cables, power cords, Christmas tree ornaments, shoe strings, clothing ties...you get the picture.

Not only is this habit costly for me in replacement costs, but it is harmful to her! Why does she do this and how can I get her to stop?
