Cats drinking habit

Cats drinking water. My daughter/cat Kai is a 15 year old tortie and a major brat. But I love her. When she was a baby I'd wake up in the night sensing a presence near my head. I would open my eyes and there is Kai drinking out of my water cup. This went on for years, she even drank my diet root beer, before I finally gave in.

Now she has her own cup to drink out of and she is very happy. I was worried recently whether she would be able to continue drinking out of her cup, which we keep on a TV tray for her.

We found out in August that she had cancer in her right front paw. They amputated her right leg (there's a long cat story in that one.)

My fears were entirely misplaced as soon as the anesthesia wore off there she was standing on one leg drinking her water.
