My cat can see a ghosts

My cat has slept in my room with me since he was 7 weeks old, he is nearly 3 now. Early one morning he came in as usual and started sniffing everything and looking behind the mirror but doing it really hesitantly, he was really scared of something.

Now he won't even enter my room, he wants to thought, he sits at the door and sometimes puts a foot in but after 5 minutes of sniffing with one foot in the door he turns around and goes back out! I checked my whole room.

I haven't changed anything so the only thing i can come up with is that he can sense a spirit or something hehe. I would really love to know what he is so scared of though, it was SO random!
