Main Coon Cat

We have a Maine Coon Cat that sits at the top of our stairs and stares at our front door for extended periods of time.

She is healthy and playful and affectionate but this staring seems unusual.

What do you think? Normal behavior for the Maine Coon cat breed? Or is this cat trying to say something?
