hugs and scratches

I taught my cat, Ethyl, to hug, where she will put her front paws around my neck and nuzzle her head in the crook of my neck and shoulder.

But lately she has taken to digging her claws in my shoulders and biting my neck while "hugging." I think this is dominant behavior and while I want her to continue to hug, I don't care for the scratching/biting.

Any suggestions on how to stop the negative while keeping the positive?
