I rescued a pair of Russian Blue kittens last fall. Batman is more affectionate than any cat I have ever known. He puts his arms around my neck, rubs his face against mine, licks my face and neck and nibbles on my ear lobes. It is amazing that his brother Robin will rub his face on mine but he is not into ears.

You'll have to forgive me. I just had half a bottle of wine and a couple much-needed muscle relaxers and I'm a bit loopy, so your story made me bawl like an idiot. ~LOL~
I had an absolutely gorgeous, huge, long-haired Siamese-mix cat (looked like a Ragdoll) named (appropriately enough) Smokey that I rescued at a very early age. He absolutely ADORED sucking on my ear and kneading my hair at night. He slobbered all over my neck, but I didn't have the heart to make him stop.
He tore out the screen one day and ran off and even though we've gotten other wonderful cats since then, I still miss him horribly. Cats are one of God's most precious gifts.

My cat Louis also does the armpit thing to me every night when he is ready to settle down. A little weird but I think it's just a comforting thing as he has done it since we brought him home at 6 weeks.

my boyfriend's cat olive is madly in love with his armpits. At least once a day she will come over if he is laying down (and only if he has a shirt on) and bury her face into his armpit, purring and kneading at it like crazy like a kitten at his momma's teat. Hilarious to say the least.

Hi! I was so glad to read the story of your ear-licking cat. I have a two year old male orange tabby named Garfield. He has sucked on my earlobe and kneaded my face as long as I have had him. His sister, Mango, has no interest in this behavior at all. I thought he was just a weird cat but now I know I am not alone. Thanks!

Hi there, its Steve again with smokey the cat. I forgot to point out that Smokey does this with your eyebrows too. And licks your eyelids. Which is not the most pleasant experience at 4am. But its nice to feel wanted, in cat-speak, I guess! My mum has a cat which does the same thing, but on the living room rug. Little turrets are left frequently,resembling mini volcanoes.

Hi there. I have a 4 year old cat that sucks my earlobes also. She started it as a baby and has never stopped. She was a little younger than we thought when we first got her, and, to her, I AM Mommy. It's all about the comfort now rather than actual sustenance, of course. I hope she never stops. It's a great bonding experience.
