Cats playing fetch

Our 2 year old Ginger cat, Jack, loves to play fetch. It started a few months ago with a hair elastic i had that he was interested in. I threw it and he brought it back to me from down stairs. Now he has taken a particular liking to paper and everytime he hears paper being crumpled up he comes runing. I chuck it down stairs and he runs after it skipping most of the steps. You hear a bit of paper wrattleing and a few seconds later he appears back with it in his mouth for another round. So there are paper balls all over the house. I think its great exsercise for him too. Who says only dogs are smart enough to play fetch!
