fetching cats
by: Liza

My white cat Casper loves to fetch. the only thing he likes to play fetch with is plastic soda bottle caps. He goes ballistic for bottle caps.

He even has learned how to flip the cap on it's side and watch it roll away and then pounce on it. It's totally hilarious!!!! he has a toy basket and the only thing he pulls out of it is his bottle caps.

So now our cat has a bottle cap collection in every color imaginable. He'll run from whatever room he's in when he hears someone tap the bottle cap on the floor. we toss it and he chases it pounces on it and brings it back to us with his tail proudly held high.

He will also drop it into your open hand. He's sooooo cool. Sometimes he'll just bring us a bottle cap and plop it in front of me or my husband or the kids an wait if we aren't responding to his offer to play he'll meow until we do. It's so cute. We call him our Snowy Retriever. Ha ha.

Ninja fetch
by: NInja's mum

my cat, Ninja is obsessed with playing fetch. He will play for hours and usually he initiates it by bringing a toy to me to throw for him. he loves hard bands, so he tries to pull mine out of my hair so I will throw them. He will also climb head first into my purse and digs around until he finds one in there to pull out. He will also play catch. He will get real low in a pre-pouncing pose and I will throw the toy and he will jump up and catch it in his teeth or paws and bring it to me then return to his position. He also knows tricks, like sit and stand. Cats are smart. I also trained one of my boyfriend's cats to play fetch. She's not as on point as Ninja is with it, but she seems to love it.

Fetch!
by: Katie

Sambu plays fetch, the breeder we got him from teaches his kittens this trick. so i suppose it can be learned. Leo hasn't caught on to it yet though.

LOL

My Camilla does the same thing! She plays fetch with my hair bands and she will go to the bathroom counter and will try to get into my makeup bag to get all of the hair bands out!
