My cats imitating urinating. He is a young male cat that will sometimes crouch like he has to pee. He does not actually do it. This can be anywhere in the house (not in certain spots). He always pee's in his litter box.
I am wondering if he could have a kidney infection or similar illness. Thanks for any Ideas on the subject or sharing your story if you have cats imitating urinating.
Yes, my first guess would be a urinary tract infection. I've had a female do that a couple of times. However, I've not seen a male do it, so I can't say for sure that you're dealing with an infection.
I would definitely keep a close eye on him. When my female was going through it, she ended up leaving behind bloody urine. The vet was able to fix her up, but I'm glad we took her on to see him when we saw what was going on. Good luck, & I hope your little one feels better soon.
