Cat Who Loves to Bite

On her favourite chair

I have a lovely ginger stripped cat, affectionately known as Gingy. She is one year old, very frisky but she has a very bad habit.

She sometimes attacks me 'out of the blue', we can be lying on the bed and she just decides to bite me and run away. The bites are hard and most times bleed.

This really troubles me. She is a house cat but I do give her time to roam about the yard when I come home from work.

Can anyone shed some light on this behavior for me.
