Cat eats Yarn

My crazy cat eats yarn. If my one-year old cat manages to get a piece of yarn while I'm knitting, he runs off with it and before I can catch it, starts swallowing it one inch at a time. Before I get to him to pull it out, he has swallowed the whole long string! He doesn't play with it or anything he just eats it!
