Cat Claw snagged Lip

by Leah
(Texas)

Grabbed in the night by my cat. A few years ago I woke up screaming in the middle of the night to find my 4 year old cat, Max had his claw snagged on my lower lip and could not get out. I was hooked like a fish.

He was on the floor looking up at me with bewilderment as I had to unhook his paw from my mouth! The only explanation I have for this is that perhaps I was dreaming and moving my lips. Fortunately this has not happened again since.

Cat paws my face and nose
by: Anonymous

My cat paws my face while trying to sleep. Well this began on April 20th when i found 5 8 day old kittens in a suitcase. The mother ran off once it was opened and never came back for them. So i ended up bottle feeding them and found them homes when they got old enough.

I kept a little black female. And at night she is very persistent on sleeping in bed with me. sometimes with my arm around her and other times she will try for my neck. Probably for warmth. But when i have her cradled in my arm she starts to gently paw at my face a lot. when it's time to go to sleep!

And I have to put her on the floor. And she just jumps back in my bed and after a couple more times just goes to the foot of the bed. And she has been doing this for awhile, she tried to lick my mouth and the inside of my nose. I have never had a cat do that. I got her spayed so she isn't in heat or anything. Wondering why she acts like this with me.
