Sorry missed the tip toe situation
by: Nancy

Your key to what is going on with the tip toe-ing is the fact, the hair is raised at the same time. I don't know of any other reason for the hair to raise on a cat except for anxiety, fear and anger.

If it's the same spot each time, there maybe something she is smelling. Cats have wonderful smell sensors, way, way beyond what us humans have.

So, if it is something she is smelling, I'd say, it was something that makes her fearful or anxious. Not necessarily angry, as she's not growling or spitting It's definitely something that makes her uncomfortable.

There maybe something in that spot from before you even lived there, that your cat is smelling. Or something you thought you had cleaned up, but not enough for the cat.

Maybe their is a draft bring in a scent, in that spot, which cause her to do these things. Or something may have happened to harm, in that area, that she senses.

The clicking when seeing birds, all my cats do it. And it's only when they see a bird. Haven't a clue to why.

Kneading is left over from being a kitten.
by: Nancy

Out of all our (6)cats, only one kneads a blanket and actually suck on it. I found out that it is a leftover from when she was a kitten.

Kittens knead their mother, as they suckle, because kneading actually produces more milk flow. Why some cats will do this and other don't, is a mystery to me. No doubt it's for comfort.
